We are kicking our heels with excitement right now!
Design Sponge posted the Jacksonville, Florida guide we created. Yipppeee!!! Jacksonville is where we met and decided to start blogging. It is a great city and full of fun things to do and see. We hope you will share in our excitement and visit the post, and on your next trip to
Jacksonville or your next night out on the town, check out some of our suggestions. They will not disappoint.
And if you’re visiting from over at D*S, welcome! Come on back over again soon! We’ll be sure to keep the Southern happenings, food, travel, folks, screen doors, and music coming!
Woot! I live in Gainesville and have spent my fair share of time in Jax. I was so pleased to see your city guide on Design*Sponge. Nice job, and congrats!!!

HOLY COW !!!!!! Thanks oodles for the plug !!! Being a relatively newly opened shop ( Sept will be 3 years ), I was flabbergasted to see my shop on D*S !!!
Ya’ll did an AMAZING job w/ Jax and all she has to offer ! Maybe this will FINALLY be the star that puts us on the map…for good !
Thanks again, and next time you are out at the beach, stop in and see me ! In fact, I have bed in the shop….so you really can move in 🙂
Tracy @ The Red Daisy
PS Lillie’s Coffee Bar, next door to my shop, has pretty good sweet tea !
Hi, Tracy!
Ginger here, the exiled Californian, but Becky is currently out of town, but she told me to make sure to let you know she’ll be in shortly after she returns. We LOVE your shop!
Don’t tempt me with the bed offer… I miss Jax (even with the August heat I hear y’all are having!)
Do keep us informed of what’s going on there at The Red Daisy!
I was initially attracted to the spot on Face Book by the illustration of the Bold New City and was curious if it was a local artist, but alas …I followed it to an illustrator from Brooklyn named Julia Rothman. It is nice. She does nice work. http://www.juliarothman.com/
Some good stuff on the guide! Where is the St. Augustine section? Plenty worth mentioning down here too 🙂
Hi, JennM!
We’re working on St. Augustine as well, to feature here too on SIT! There was just too much to lump it in with Jax, but keep checking back. We love doing city guides for the various places around we’ve had the chance to visit, and I know Becky and I both get to St. Augustine frequently!
If you have any suggestions we may not know about, feel free to shoot them our way!
I just saw on your blog you are going to Seattle. Husband and I just went there last month and LOVED it! Hope you have a great time!
