Callie’s Charleston Biscuits

Is there anything better, or more Southern, than biscuits? Ever since I saw Becky’s post last month for Formula L Souther Biscuit Mix, I’ve been thinking about how much I love biscuits. I can’t find the mix here, or good biscuits either generally.

But I’ve found a solution. Callie’s Biscuits have been a Charleston favorite for many years, but recently went country-wide when Carrie, daughter of Callie, convinced her catering mother not to retire but instead, built a business together, passing the famous biscuit recipe down to the next generation.

They have appeared on the Today Show, Oprah, and been featured in the New York Times, but you can get your very own taste of Callie’s right here on their website. You can choose from six different varieties that come frozen, just read to thaw and serve, and order great add ons such as Carolina honey and their pimento cheese.

I might just have to place an order, and have a little of the South’s favorite fare shipped to my home to enjoy! What a great fall morning treat these would be for your family.
