Ashley Longshore for Anthropologie

I think perhaps, if I could live in any “make-believe” world out there, I’m not sure it would be Narnia or DisneyLand, but probably the world designed by the Anthropologie geniuses. Each time I get one of their catalouges, or have a moment to browse their collections online, I must be careful lest I get the “I wish, I wants.”

But this chair, is truly exquisite. Designed by a personal favorite New Orleans native artist, Sarah Ashley Longshore, the Calandria is a soothing, soft, watery piece of art masquerading as an armchair. Sigh. But alas, since not one more piece of furniture will now fit into my teeny new Pacific Grove cottage, I’m on a home decor buying sabbatical for the time being. Let’s hope my beloved Anthro decides to carry more of her pieces in the near future.

What did I tell you, folks? The South is on its way to becoming quite the happening trend.
