This week I ordered and received a new cookbook out on the shelves from the Lee brothers, “Simple, Fresh, Southern: Knockout Dishes with Down-Home Flavor.”
The authors, Ted and Matt Lee grew up and currently reside in Charleston, South Carolina. The brothers write for several publications, such as Travel and Leisure Magazine, Food and Wine Magazine, and are also the wine columnists for Martha Stewart…lucky guys.
My brain began to piece together future meals during my initial flip through the crisp, glossy pages of the cookbook. Mouthwatering recipes sit before me, such as butternut squash soup with rosemary, collard greens with poblano chiles and chorizo, and skirt steak with parsley sauce. I am also rather looking forward to making the ever so interesting recipe for mint julep panna cotta. Sounds wonderful!
When things slow down in real life land (as opposed to blog land), I look forward to just preparing one of these recipes and sharing the results. Check back for updates.
